Walk MS is a nationwide event hosted by the National MS Society and its local chapters. Each Walk MS event is an opportunity for people to come together, create awareness of MS, celebrate hope for a cure and support those who are challenged by the disease. In Oklahoma, Walk MS events take place in eight communities.

In 2009, nearly 4,000 Walk MS Oklahoma participants raised approximately $375,000.

Walk MS is a great event that encourages people to Walk and raise money to create a world free of MS. Walkers register and begin fundraising as they receive a welcome packet from the Chapter. Walkers are treated at rest stops with refreshments. As they cross the finish line, they are greeted and thanked by people with MS. Festivities continue with food and entertainment.
