* Want to stop so many phone books from being delivered to your house? First, try going to www.yellowpagesgoesgreen.org. For the AT&T/YellowPages (formerly SBC), you can call 1-800-792-2665 to opt-out of delivery. YellowBook's number is 1-800-373-2324. Also, try Dex at 1-877-243-8339. You might reach someone who usually helps you with getting extra phone books. Just tell them you don't want any phonebooks delivered to your address. And, to get on a list of people who want phonebook delivery to stop altogether, go to www.paperlesspetition.org.

* Julie Dermody from Oologah is collecting PJs for GIs. Many times a soldier or marine doesn't have anything to wear in the hospital except for those backless gowns! She's collecting T-shirts and sleep pants to send over. If you can help, call 232-3796.
* There are a few unusual, but useful must-haves for back-to-school!
1. The washable keyboard! Using a technology known as SpillSeal, the company Unotron has come up with a keyboard that can be washed under running or sprayed water, as well as sprayed with disinfectants.
