This weekend might have been the
first time you stepped out in a bathing suit since last summer. How scary was that? Here are some tips to boost your confidence a
little from Glamour magazine:
- Accessorize! You’ll feel
more comfortable wearing so little if you have a wrap or cute shirt. A fun hat can draw the attention away from
the lower parts of your body you’re not so happy to show off. And, sunglasses will definitely help!
- Get a fake tan. Spider
webs and cellulite look so much better in brown! You’ll feel better because you’ll look
healthier, too.
- You don’t look as bad as you think. One study shows that women overestimated the
size of their hips by 16% and their waists by 28%
- Keep in mind the average woman wears a size 14 swimsuit. Just make sure it fits well, and don’t go
swimsuit shopping after a big meal.
- Outdoor lighting will be more flattering than dressing room
lighting
Keep these tips in mind, and you
can concentrate more on having fun than having a cow over swimsuit season.
